Dungeon Lootr Class Tier List (September 2026)

The tier list below reflects the Update 1.5 comparison from community tier trackers, with notes on how Update 2 classes fit in. Remember: a class's placement assumes an endgame build with matching Mastery, so a "low tier" class can still clear most content if you've invested in it.

Why Dark Professor and Spell Breaker Dominate

Community tier trackers consistently place Dark Professor at the top. It runs a skill-based INT build with Tempest and Umbral aspects, and player reports say it outdamages Sinister Trigger, the previous DPS king. You unlock it from The First Test Raid on Impossible difficulty.

Spell Breaker is essentially a Strength mirror of Dark Professor. Its Tempest Splitter makes enemies more vulnerable to follow-ups, and Thousand Cuts rewards a successful parry with bonus damage. If you enjoy timing defensive responses, this is your class.

The GamePass Trio: Coyote, Founder, and Shadow Vagrant

All three are paid GamePass classes, and all three rank in S tier. Community sources note they'll eventually become obtainable through quests, so don't feel pressured to buy them now.

  • Coyote: homing projectiles plus attack protection keep your damage flowing while you dodge.
  • Founder: Somersault Crash can reset Pillar of Heaven for an extra attack when the reset triggers.
  • Shadow Vagrant: Flickering Step gives three repositioning charges with area damage and dodge frames.

How to Unlock Every Major Class

Unlock routes vary far more than most players expect. Class summons don't cover everything — several top classes come from raids, drops, or crafting.

ClassUnlock Method
Dark ProfessorThe First Test Raid (Impossible)
Spell BreakerRaid drop or Raid Shop
DreadlordUnderworld Gate Nightmare (Underworld Glaive item)
Cursed King / Anti Magic / Honored OneBoss Rush floor 40+ drops, or craft with boss fragments

A quick tip from player experience: check the live unlock requirement before burning spins on a class. Some rare classes never appear in normal rolls at all.

Best Titles in Dungeon Lootr by Build

Titles give flat stat bonuses that scale your damage significantly. Match your title to your class's primary stat.

Build TypeBest TitleWhy
Physical / StrengthUnchainedBest raw DPS bonus
Any (flex)The Storm or S3.ParagonBest overall bonuses
Ranged / DexterityIron SightTop Dex bonus
Magic / IntelligenceS3.Paragon or The StormTop Int bonus

The Storm title comes from reaching Mastery 50 on Awakened Devil EX, so it's a long-term grind goal. Until then, S3.Paragon fits almost any build thanks to its broad stat coverage.

Update 2 Classes: Moon Witch, Necromancer, Fae, and Crescent Blade

Update 2 dropped four new classes, and community testing has already surfaced some surprises. Note that official tier trackers haven't ranked these yet — the impressions below come from player experience.

Moon Witch — The Sleeper Hit

Moon Witch is a Celestial magic class running on INT stats. Its kit looks mediocre on paper but clicks once you understand the combo:

  • Crescent Strike: fast ranged slash, roughly 160K damage in testing.
  • Pale Cascade: summons three orbiting moons for 6 seconds and shields you. At 50 Mastery, you get six orbs instead of three.
  • Moonfall: pulls every enemy within 24 studs toward you, then slams for heavy damage — near 1M crits reported.
  • Lunar Rush: dash forward with dodge frames and slam the ground where you land.

The real power is the Pale Cascade into Moonfall combo. Pull enemies in, then detonate the orbs on them. Community testers called Moon Witch a "secret banger" and the best of the Update 2 batch. Bring lifesteal — the kit has no built-in sustain.

Necromancer — Strong Support, Rough Solo

Necromancer is a Celestial magic class built around minions:

  • Raise: revives your last five kills as undead allies (seven at 50 Mastery, with stronger skeletons).
  • Mend: heals every undead for half their max health, plus allies within 30 studs.
  • Empower: undead deal 50% more damage for 12 seconds, and enemies they kill explode.

The catch: your other skills are locked until you have skeletons raised, and minions get one-tapped if you haven't secured kills. Player reports describe it as "buns by itself" but genuinely strong in a party where you can chain kills, raise, mend, and detonate.

Fae — The Mechanical Dagger Class

Fae is an exotic physical class from the Payload shop (7,500 marks). Its kit revolves around dagger placement:

  • Glimmer Toss: throws a bouncing dagger that lands on the ground — walk over it to twirl for around 126K damage.
  • Rising Glint: flicks a dagger up for 50% movement speed; each kill cuts 15% of the remaining cooldown.
  • Glint: blinks you to your nearest grounded dagger with a twirl on arrival.
  • Dagger Storm: your burst tool once daggers are positioned.

Fae rewards planning over button mashing. Set daggers, blink between them, and keep the movement buff rolling.

Crescent Blade — Big Numbers, Bundle Locked

Crescent Blade is an exotic physical class sold in a paid bundle. It has an ultimate and some of the fastest M1s in the game. Testing showed Scattered Crescents hitting around 300K, with Twin Arc doubling up for roughly 1M total. It's clearly a Tempest-aspect weapon — pair it accordingly.

Best Aspects and How to Get Them

Aspects modify your class's damage profile and are often the difference between a B-tier and S-tier build.

AspectBest ForNotes
TempestSkill-based DPS classesTop pick for Dark Professor, Spell Breaker, Crescent Blade
UmbralINT/skill buildsPairs with Tempest on endgame setups
PhantomDodge/parry-heavy kitsStrong on weapons where every skill dodges or parries
AegisParry-reliant buildsMultiplies parry payoff damage
SanguineStruggling playersLifesteal for sustain while learning fights

You can get aspects from the GamePass Shop or from Challenge Dungeon Level 55+ milestone rewards, typically appearing above 100 completions. Community advice: once you've learned to kite enemies, damage aspects beat defensive ones almost every time.

How to Get Exotic Materials for Class Quests

Several class unlocks and upgrades require Exotic materials. Here's where each drops, based on community drop-rate reports:

  • Exotic Shattered Armor: Underworld Gate Nightmare and Endless, 8% chance from the Igris Secret Boss.
  • Exotic Essence: Underworld Gate Nightmare at 5% on completion, or Challenge Mode bosses at 30% from any boss.
  • Exotic Ore: Challenge Mode at 35% from Igris (wave 30+), or Underworld Gate Nightmare at 15% from drops.

If you're targeting a specific class quest, farm the matching mode rather than spreading runs across everything.

How to Choose a Class for Your Next Run

Start with why your current runs are failing, not with tier lists.

  • Dying mid-attack? Swap to a kit with dodge or parry frames you can time reliably. Jetstream has protection on every move.
  • Surviving but clearing slowly? Compare damage with matching gear and Mastery before spending resources on a replacement.
  • Playing solo? Avoid minion or support classes like Necromancer — they shine in parties.
  • Chasing leaderboard DPS? Target Dark Professor, Spell Breaker, or Crescent Blade.

A higher tier is an upgrade target, not a requirement to abandon a class that already clears content for you. Practice a new class's movement before taking it into Nightmare difficulty — shorter cooldowns mean nothing if you can't finish your attacks safely.
