Dungeon Lootr Aspect Tier List — Forge & Gem Guide

Aspect tier list for Dungeon Lootr with gem roll rates, reroll math, and the best Aspect for every forge build — Tempest, Ruin, Umbral, Aegis and more ranked.

Tempest, Ruin, and Umbral are the three best Aspects in Dungeon Lootr — everything else is either a situational pick or a gem trap. Tempest wins for skill-spam builds, Ruin for auto-attack crit builds, and Umbral as the crit-critter's backup that also carries a stun. The gap between S tier and the rest is enormous: a 1%-roll Tempest can more than double your effective damage, while a Glaciel proc fires on roughly one attack in forty.

Most aspect tier lists stop at the rankings. This one starts there but is built around the part that actually costs you: getting the Aspect you want without burning your Aspect Gems into the void. Below you'll find the full tier list, the real roll-rate math behind spins and gems, reroll strategy, and the best Aspect pairing for every forge gear build in the current Update 2.5 meta.

Dungeon Lootr Aspect Tier List — Full Rankings

STempestStorm stacks: +5% skill DMG each (max +40%), then 200% Lightning StormSkill-based DPS builds
SRuinSunder stacks up to +75% damage taken on one targetAuto-attack crit builds
SUmbral35% chance on crit for 150% bonus DMG + 1.5s stunCrit builds, Tempest substitute
AAegisParry triggers 250% nova, 3s stun, +25% DMG for 5sParry-heavy players
AFulmin10% chance for 400% AoE lightning + 7s stunCrowd control, leveling
APhantomDodge leaves a 150% damage Shadow CloneMobile, dodge-focused play
ASanguine10% chance for 3s lifestealEarly game sustain
BAlacrity20% chance for +60% attack speed (10s)Fast-attacking classes
BBlaze10% chance to ignite; +25% DMG to burning foesBasic-attack builds
BVerdant15% chance to poison, stacking 5xDoT-focused grinding
CGlaciel2.5% chance to freeze; shatter for 200%Niche freeze setups

The short version: never spend gems chasing B or C tier. Alacrity and Blaze feel fine but don't raise raw damage much, Verdant ramps too slowly for bosses, and Glaciel's 2.5% proc rate is too low to build around at all.

How Aspects Work — Spins vs. Aspect Gems

There are exactly two ways to roll an Aspect, and they have very different economics:

  • Normal Spins: 21.5% chance to land any Aspect (78.5% nothing). Spins cost 1.5K Coins each in the Classes menu.
  • Aspect Gems: a guaranteed random Aspect. Not buyable with Coins — they come from the Gamepass Shop, codes, the battle pass, and Challenge Dungeon milestones (usually the Level 55+ reward track).

The catch is that each Aspect also has its own internal roll rate within that guaranteed pool:

AspectSpin RateGem Rate
Tempest1%4.65%
Ruin1%4.65%
Phantom1%4.65%
Alacrity1%4.65%
Blaze2.5%11.63%
Sanguine2.5%11.63%

So a gem guarantees an Aspect, not the Aspect. Your odds of pulling Tempest from one gem are about 1 in 21.

The Reroll Math — Before You Burn Gems

Here's the expected-value math most players skip. To land one specific 1%-roll Aspect (Tempest, Ruin, Phantom) from spins, expected attempts are 100 spins — about 150K Coins. From gems, it's roughly 21 to 22 gems on average.

That reframes the whole economy:

MethodCost per AttemptExpected Cost for One S-Tier Aspect
Coin spins1.5K Coins~150K Coins
Aspect GemsGamepass, codes, battlepass, Challenge Dungeon~21–22 gems

The practical rules that fall out of this:

  1. Spins are for digging out of no-Aspect. The 21.5% any-Aspect rate is generous — get an Aspect equipped first, even Sanguine.
  2. Gems are for upgrading. Save every gem until you're ready to eat the 21-gem expectation for a specific S tier.
  3. Codes are free gems. Working Dungeon Lootr codes have repeatedly granted lucky spins and aspect gems through the patch notes panel — check it after every update.
  4. Challenge Dungeon 55+ is the free gem faucet. Milestone rewards on the Level 55+ track are the only reliable free source; see the aspect gems guide for the full list.

Best Aspect for Every Forge Build

An Aspect is only half a build — it multiplies whatever your gear and reforge are already doing. These are the pairings that work, mapped to the gear stat priorities most players run:

Gear BuildStat FocusBest AspectWhy It Works
Skill spam (INT/DEX)Skill DMG, cooldownTempestStacks scale with every skill cast; Storm caps at +40% then nukes for 200%
Auto-attack critCrit chance, ATKRuinSunder's +75% damage-taken amp turns crit strings into boss deletes
Crit hybridCrit + skill DMGUmbral35% proc on crit is the highest uptime damage trigger in the game
Parry bruiser (VIT)HP, VIT, blockAegisRewards the playstyle the build already forces; 250% nova + 3s stun
Dodge/kiteAGI, movementPhantomShadow Clone adds 150% damage hits every dodge
Survival/learningHP, lifestealSanguine10% chance for 3s lifesteal keeps new players alive through mistakes

If your reforge landed on cooldown reduction, re-read that first row — CDR plus Tempest is the single strongest synergy in the current forge meta. The reforge guide covers how to aim your rolls before you lock an Aspect in.

Should You Ever Keep an A-Tier Aspect?

Yes — more often than you'd think. Aegis on a parry-built Spell Breaker or Dreadlord outperforms a Tempest you can't proc consistently, becauseuptime beats ceiling. Sanguine is the correct answer for every new player learning Nightmare mechanics: staying alive is damage. The only genuinely bad investment is dumping gems into B/C tier Aspects you already own — no reroll economy saves that.
